Ask ChatGPT who to call. See if it says you.
“Best physio near Guildford” used to return ten links. Increasingly it returns one answer, written by an AI that has already decided who to mention. We run 25–40 real buyer searches across five engines, capture every answer as evidence, and score where you stand against three named local competitors.
Who it is forEstablished local service businesses — installers, builders and roofers, private dental and aesthetics, physio, estate agents — losing enquiries as ten links become one answer.
The cost of not knowing.
Ten links became one answer
Someone in Weybridge asks ChatGPT who to use. It names three firms, with confidence, and the person calls one of them. You have no idea whether you were named, and your analytics cannot tell you — nobody clicked anything.
- A search you never see happening
- Three names given, yours or not
- No click, so nothing in analytics
- A competitor takes the call
You know exactly where you stand
We run the searches your buyers actually make — your services, your towns — across five engines, and capture every answer. You get a mention rate, the sources the engines trust, and one page telling you what to fix first.
- Every answer captured as evidence
- Scored against three named competitors
- The sources the engines actually cite
- A one-page 90-day plan
What we actually check.
Where it sits in searchFive pillars, each scored out of 100, delivered five working days from intake. No black box — every score traces back to a captured answer or a checkable fact.
25–40 buyer-intent searches for your services and towns, run across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, Perplexity, Copilot and Gemini. Every answer captured.
How often you are mentioned, how often you are cited, and in what tone — measured against three named local competitors, not a vague average.
Which directories, review platforms and local sources the engines cite when they answer, and whether you are present and accurate on each one.
Schema, Google Business Profile, Bing Places — which feeds Copilot — and whether your name, address and phone match everywhere they appear.
Whether AI crawlers — GPTBot, Google-Extended, PerplexityBot — can read your site, whether your pages answer questions, and your review volume and response rate.
What is included.
- The report12–18 pages, written for an owner rather than a marketer. Findings, not filler.
- The scorecard0–100 across the five pillars, so a re-run in six months means something.
- The evidenceEvery AI answer captured as it appeared — what was said, by which engine, on which date.
- The readoutA 30-minute call walking through what we found and what matters first.
- The 90-day planOne page you could execute with anyone. Every recommendation maps to a Design Surrey product.
- The structure£850 setup — the audit itself — then £400 a month rolling if we work the plan. One month’s notice, or stop at the report.
Paid in full before we start — £850 is the setup and the audit is what it buys. Carry on at £400 a month if the plan says we should work it; stop at the report if it says you can.
Get the auditThe retainer — £400 a month, rolling
The audit finds the gaps; the retainer is the working of the 90-day plan, month by month. The sources the engines cite — directories, review platforms, local press — joined, corrected and kept accurate. Structured data and your Google Business and Bing profiles kept current. Service pages restructured to answer questions the way engines read them, and review volume and response kept moving. Each month a slice of the audit battery is re-run, so you watch mentions move against the baseline the audit set — reported on one page, in plain words.
Rolling monthly with one month’s notice, like everything else here. And if the 90-day plan says you can do this yourself, the report says exactly that.
The questions everybody asks.
Can you guarantee I will show up in AI answers?
No, and nobody honestly can — nobody controls what an AI answer says, including the companies that run the engines. What we guarantee is the evidence and the date: 25–40 real searches, captured, scored and delivered within five working days of intake.
How do the £850 and the monthly fit together?
There is no credit trick because there is nothing to credit: £850 is the setup of the retainer, and the audit is what the setup buys. If the 90-day plan says you can do the work yourself, you stop there. If we work the plan, it is £400 a month — rolling monthly, one month’s notice.
Could I take the plan to another agency?
Yes. The 90-day plan is one page, written in plain English, and you could execute it with anyone. Every recommendation maps to a Design Surrey product, which is exactly why we are comfortable writing it that way.
Which AI engines do you test?
ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot and Gemini. Each search is run on each engine and the answer is captured as it appeared, so the report shows what was actually said rather than a summary of it.
What do you need from me?
A short intake: your services, your towns, and the three competitors you most often lose to. We do the rest from public sources. Anything of yours that crosses our platform is handled under our standard data processing agreement.
Tell us about the business.
Four fields. We come back the same working day with the three competitors we would benchmark against and a start date — the report lands five working days after intake.
